9 of 9 people found the following review helpful: SAVE THE PLANET- Use cloth diapers! 2/19/2006 I really wanted to cloth-diaper our baby for environmental and economic reasons. I was really hesitant as a new mom. Iwasn't sure I could handle that on top of a new baby- but people have been washing diapers for 100s of years- and without a super high speed- sterilizer-fancy washing machine. We had a diaper service the first month and then I realized that I could do this myself. Cloth diapering is so easy! You save so much money. There are several great types of diapers on the market. This brand and a kind called "BUMPKINS" are great to get started. The diaper is all-in-one (meaning you don't need a separate diaper that you put a cover over, covers are what in a past were rubber pants). These are great for dads and babysitters and changing a baby on the run. They velcro on/off. I preferred the "BUMPKINS" but these were my 2nd favorite of the all in ones, the Kushies are more affordable. They didn't hold up as well as the BUMPKINS- but I always put mine in the dryer- might last longer if you line-dry, but they've been washed every 2 days for the last 3 months! I highly recommend anyone trying to cloth diaper to give these a try. It's really easy and my baby has only had one diaper rash in 10 months and at 11 months has already started pooping on the potty- they say using cloth diapers really speeds up potty training and I am finding that to to true! 13 of 13 people found the following review helpful: Diapers Kinda Bulky: There Are Better Cloth Diapers 12/25/2005 While it's nice to have an all-in-one diaper, these kind of diapers are the reason people think of cloth diapers as bulky. It's just like the old days: heavy cotton with a plastic-y covering. I had some on my registry just because they were the only ones offered at Babies R Us. I wouldn't buy them again. I received Fuzzi Bunz in the mail a few days later, and they're HEAVEN in comparison. (Soft, light, and only $4 more per diaper: I'm willing to do that for my baby!) Thank You. 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful: Will be great later 12/13/2005 I bought these diapers for my 2 month old after reading great reviews. The infant size is listed for 10-22 pounds, which is quite a range in weight. My daughter currently weighs 13 pounds and these diapers are just enormous on her. I pulled them up as high as they would go (nearly to her armpits) and the leg holes were still gaping around her thighs. I do think these will be fabulous once she is a little bigger. Thank You. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: Very convenient 11/22/2005 This is my first time using cloth diapers, but we've been throught the "ringer" with our third child with diapers. We haven't had any problems with the Kushies. My little was 10 lbs. when we started using them, and they've been wonderful and incredibly easy to use. He doesn't leak out of them (unless we wait way too long to change him) and they are sooooooo incredibly easy to use. While the price has kept me from buying enough to use on an every diaper change basis...they are nice to have when going out places or I use them for every other diaper change, just to make life a little easier. A dream of mine was to find a diaper that was similar to the disposable ones but something you could reuse and something strong enough to withstand washing and drying over and over again. One day when reading I came across the "All-In-One" name and decided to check it out. I read through all the reviews and decided to try it. Though the price at first made me reluctant, in the long run it saves you money and GARBAGE! They are practical, reliable, easy to use, enviornment friendly,in short they are FANTASTIC! Thank You.
