I bought this item based on the reviews here on Amazon.com from other HDTV users and after trying every possible antenna angle and every possible configuration it WEAKENED my signal strength by half! I have a Canon Powershot (this works in both SD1000 & SD1100) and this works like a charm in there. At standard 640x480 it says it registers more than 9,999 shots...
Didn't work with my older laptop's SD card reader, but a $6 USB card reader adaptor solved that (definately recommended)
