These are good quality bands built to last. I have tried many other bands and these are by far the best. Use them one at a time, or put them all together for maximum resistance. This set is great for a person of any strength.

I bought these bands 5 weeks ago to use with the P90X workout. The way that you can interchange and add weight quickly and easily makes them a great set of bands, and they were working extremely well for me...until today.

Today, the red band snapped while doing a shoulder exercise. They say they have a life time guarantee, so I'm about to find out if they honor their word and what that process looks like.

***Update...I emailed customer service and they emailed me back the next day, and are sending my new band in the mail. Great customer service, and aside from this issue with one band, they are very good bands.

Great Product and Customer Service - p90x users please read

I just got the bands in and started my p90x routine today.... within 5 minutes I snapped a band... Uh oh... I decided to email bodylastics regarding this to see what they would do... I instantly got a reply stating that they figured I was using it with p90x when this happened... ding ding ding..

They offered to send out a replacement part tomorrow with my shipping address and offered this information below regarding using the bodylastics bands with p90x..

overall great product when used properly, and can't beat customer service that replaces a product and replies that fast --

I can help but guess that you could be following the P90x routine. If I am wrong, please let me know but...

Here is the must have tip for that workout routine. There are a few exercises that will be less than perfect the way they suggests you do them with the bands. The exercises are the heavy pants, the lawnmower, and the back flies. The tip is simple. The Bodylastics handles can be removed from the bands. Lets do that. Take off the handles and literally grab on to the band underneath the clip system. This will ensure you have no slack at the start of the exercise (the P90X video suggests that you need to start those exercises with a certain amount of slack in the bands because you need a certain amount of elastic to complete the exercise motion). Using this tip will make sure you have enough band length to complete the exercise motion also.

Keep in mind that you may come across an exercise that works a muscle or muscle group and the way the exercise is being performed is not comfortable for you. When this happens, remember that you have a Bodylastics book with a list of exercises that should be used to substitute any exercise used in any given program.

We discovered the tips while reviewing the program with the Bodylastics system. I am sure these will make the difference for you. Although I would again recommend watching the [...]. I hope this helps. Please feel free to respond if you have further question.

I am 50 years old and bought these bands because I have been exercising with P90X and had to go out of town due to my job. I feel in love with these bands as soon as I started using them. Now that I am back in town I have staged them in my workout area and only use the dumbbells for certain exercises that just don't feel right with the bands. The good thing about using the bands is it helps eliminate the possibility of hurting yourself picking up 60 pound dumbbells. I am actually thinking about selling my BowFlex. The only con is the handles. I like the handles on the P90X bands better. The clips on the ends have not bothered me like it has other buyers but that is just different strokes...

Excellent alternative to the gym

After moving to Chile, I became immediately frustrated with the lack of first-class gyms that I'd grown accustomed to in the States. I spent many hours searching for a viable in-home alternative, and I ultimately settled on these bands by Bodylastics. After a week of use, I endorse these bands 100%.

I had several doubts about fitness bands but decided for the relatively cheap price they were worth a try. First, I was slightly worried about being able to motivate myself to use them every day. When I'm at the gym it's easy to get motivated because once I've driven there, I might as well go hard. But with the bands, I thought it'd be too easy to slack on my routine. However, Bodylastics offers an AMAZING website called LiveExercise dot com that serves as a training class for the bands. You have an instructor and a set routine each day. The classes are about 45 minutes each, and stream live each day, with the ability to watch whenever you want thereafter.

Second, I was worried that the bands wouldn't challenge me the same way free weights can. I still feel this is more or less true if you're going for big gains, but my goals have changed since I moved to South America. To stay fit and toned these bands are an integral part of a workout routine (I supplement with regular cardio, abs and additional pushups). With regular cardio and a balanced diet, there is no reason that these bands can't help you achieve the body you've always wanted. I am challenged with each workout, and many mornings-after feel that good soreness.

Finally, I was worried about the quality, especially since any returns would be difficult from SA. I've only been using this system for a week but am very pleased with the overall durability. I will have to post an update after 6+ months of use, but the bands and straps are very well-made and sturdy. The d-ring clips aren't the strongest, but they seem sufficient. As a note, I'm 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, and the length and tension of the bands are appropriate for my body type.

I was thinking about buying a slightly cheaper system with less bands but am very happy that I chose this one. I end up using all of the colors with each workout, and have a large number of combination options. I haven't even come close to needing more bands for more resistance.

Pros:
-exercise classes online
-durability
-sufficiently varied resistance
-small bag makes for a great gym-on-the-go solution

Cons:
-not recommended for adding a lot of bulk
-requires self-motivation (like any workout plan)
