Battery Life

I bought this camera back in August 07 and used it very heavily for three days at a music festival. The camera had great battery life! But recently, I've discovered that I'll put in fully charged batteries and they're "dead" in 10 minutes! At first I thought it was the charger and took it back for another model. Nope. The same thing is happening.

I was having trouble with some photos taking a long time to save to the disk. I did find in the manual that the disk needed to be formatted and this could lead to long downloads. Got a new disk and formatted it. It seems to be working OK now. The only thing the manual said about very short battery life was that the camera may be too cold. I live in the Seattle area -- wouldn't think it was cold enough here for that to be the cause? Other than that, I'm thinking there is something now wrong with the camera?

Wonder if anyone else has experience this problem -- didn't read anything about it when I was reading the reviews before purchasing. Any suggestions?

Other than that, I've been relatively happy. Before I had a Canon Elph 3x zoom with 4 pixels and it was great. But I wanted a 4x zoom so taking pictures of bands at shows was a bit easier when farther away.

This is my first digital camera. I like it as it gets the job done. The only things I do not like which are my fault for not reading more specific is; sometimes when I take a picture without the flash it is hard to get non-blurry picture and also the fact that you must use batteries to operate the battery unless you buy a sold seperately adapter. Anyhow, I am still playing around and learning about the features so read this review casually and don't let is sway you too much in one direction. Thanks.

Digital "newbie" pleased with product

I haven't used the camera too much yet, but from the "test" shots I've taken I am pleased with it and happy to join the rest of the population in the current technological world. It's a little more complicated than I expected with all the choices it offers, and it was reviewed as easy to use, so it must be me. Love the big screen!

I have used my friends camera and that is why I ordered this one. It had all the features I wanted for the price I was willing to pay.

Fast service, camera in excellent condition, and I would do business with this company again. Being a novice digital camera user I found this camera very easy to use from the start. I did end up buying a 1 gigabyte memory card since the memory card that comes with it is just 16 megabytes - 10 pictures.
