Even if you are not a particularly big fan of Pink Floyd there's a lot here to entertain. If you are fan, put this one in your shopping cart post haste. The sound is off the charts, the picture is fantastic and the performance is great. David Gilmour is as good as he ever was, perhaps even better

I received this book in two days and I had just finished the third book, I was able to start reading right away. I loved this book just as much as the other three. Pass your book on to someone else after you are done, so they can have the same enjoyment you did!

The absorber?? was designed over 30 years ago to dry cars and trucks. It is the ORIGINAL PVA shammy. The super absorbent power of the absorber?? not only dries your car quickly, but leaves a streak free finish behind. Once the absorber?? is saturated with water simply wring it out and continue drying your vehicle. For the hood of your car we recommend that you lay the absorber flat on the surface and pull it across the hood, trunk, or car top. Let the absorber do the work for you as it sucks up the water as you move across the surface of your vehicle. You can fold the absorber to dry the side panels of your vehicle. The absorber can be used to dry the nooks and crannies of your vehicle. This is a distinct advantage over blade type and other drying devices. The absorber?? is reinforced with a mesh scrim for added durability and strength, but has NO surface fibers which makes it safe for all paint finishes. It also will not remove wax from your vehicle as you dry it. It is resistant to most chemicals. It is unharmed by grease and oils. Best of all the absorber?? is machine washable and will last for years.

Absorber Chamois work for me

I use the Absorber Chamois on my classic car, my boat, my truck and my daily driver. The latest use is for drying out my shower at home. Great product! In particular I like the ability to store the chamois in the container still damp without getting mildew. When the chamois get dirty I simply dump them in the wash machine and run through a regular wash cycle.

My wife is insane about this thing.

My wife was extremely pleased to find that this item is Made in Japan--both because she takes it as a sign of quality and because she's Made in Japan herself.

We're also familiar with this kind of product in Japan, where it's called a "gum towel."

I bought two actually, one for her and one for me to use on my bicycles--thinking it would be something like a super absorbant chamois rather than a gum towel. It's certainly super absorbant, but doesn't have the chamois quality I would need to, say, polish my bike frames. That is to say it's more sticky than soft, more like a piece of foam rubber or neoprene than a cloth.

So if I just hosed down the bike while cleaning and wanted to get on with the next steps of polishing and relubing, this towel is a great way to dry the bike when it's neither hot nor dry enough of a day for the bike to dry out on it's own in a fair amount of time.

It really draws the water out too, from every knook and cranny, so no need to use DW-40 before lubing my nice clean parts.

My wife uses ours for everything from picking up spills to quickly drying wet clothing that can't go in the dryer. If you wash a sweater for example, it's best to roll it up in the Absorber before laying it out to dry, as this will cut your drying time to at least half and make it less of a hazard that the sweater will get out of shape.

We use my far more grungy one as you might use a wet vac. It actually does a better job than a wet vac though.

Add that I've used several gum towels in Japan, mostly for swimming, and this is by far the thickest one I've used--therefore more absorbant. And at 27" x 17" it's big enough to be used as a bath towel without having to ring it out over and over again.

BOTTOM LINE:

I recommend this particular make and model over others simply based on the large size and the thickness of the towel.

Don't expect to use this to polish or dust, as the texture of the towel is far too sticky for that.

I initially searched for the Sham-Wow on Amazon because I had seen it on TV, and still would like to try it out because it seems like it might be more chamois like--where you could wipe and polish with it.

Overall, we're thrilled with the quality, size, and how well this item works. Absolutely 5 stars.

For diapers

Ok I had to try it.I use these for my little dog whom isn't potty trained yet.Excellent!!! I just place it in her little cloth diaper and no more accidents on my carpet or floors.Hum if I have kids I will definitly use these in their diapers as well.

Don't waste your money

I'm glad bought this exact item through my local auto store on sale for $2.98. It does a VERY POOR job of absorbing moisture and is nothing like a true chamois cloth. Even after washing it in hopes of removing any residue, it still failed to perform. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, a cotton towel will do a better job. Mine is now in the garbage.

Bad

This cloth came half hard and half soft. The hard side doesn't get softer so it is hard to use to do anything with when it is dry. Felt like I threw my money away on this product.
