The Davis Instruments CarChip Pro records vehicle trip and performance data, providing a detailed history of driver performance and vehicle operation. The CarChip Pro also provides additional vehicle monitoring capabilities including the logging of specific engine data parameters and detailed "accident" data for all sudden stops. It can also emit an audible alarm whenever a driver exceeds user-determined speed limits. Using the included CarChip software, you can view logged data in summary, record, plot, or table formats and also export it to other applications. It easily plugs into your car's On-Board Diagnostics (OBD-II) port and is compatible with most passenger cars and light trucks manufactured since 1996. View conflicts and exclusions. Easy to Install and Use
The CarChip Pro is easy to install and requires no tools or complicated automotive expertise. Simply plug it into the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD-II) port that is typically located under the dashboard or steering wheel. When you're ready to view the data, just remove the CarChip Pro from your vehicle and plug it into your PC with the included USB cable. CarChip's software will save and display the recorded data.
