My 18-month-old loves to look at this this book over and over again. ("Gwa!") But I don't mind at all... "Good Night, Gorilla" is one of my favorites.

The pictures tell the story in this book; there are only a handful of words. I love the stunningly vivid and detailed illustrations.

I love these diapers. I will admit I occasionally have leaks, usually at night, but occasionally during the day. Still worth not having the extra chemicals next to a baby's absorbent skin...

I have over 11 GB of music on iTunes and I'm a runner, so the 16GB iPod nano is the iPod I've been waiting for. I had a couple hard drive failures in the past ten years which gave me another reason to hold out for the flash-based iPod nanos to increase their capacity and come down in price. The pric

Activity Center Grows With Your Child in Three Stages
Children have a lot to learn in the first 24 months of their lives, and there are plenty of toys on the market designed to help them get through different growth stages, from practicing "tummy time" through learning to walk. The ExerSaucer combines three toys in one package, providing an economical and space-saving choice for parents that also gives babies a quality play experience.

Stage 1: Exploratory Fun for Newborns
Stage 1, for infants from birth through four months, is an activity mat that's designed for helping babies develop focus and learn to reach and grab. Infants can lie on the mat and interact with the toys on the toy bar that arches above, which includes three delightful toys that jingle, rattle, and buzz. The toy bar also plays music -- mommy or daddy can turn it on. The activity mat is quite compact in size, making it easy to use in a variety of spaces throughout your home.

Stage 2: Helps Baby Prepare for Walking
Stage 2 is the classic Exersaucer activity center designed for babies 4 months old until they can walk independently. The activity center stands on sturdy plastic legs that connect the circular activity tray to the saucer-shaped standing platform. The baby sits in the rotating bucket seat in the center with his feet reaching the saucer. He can push off with his feet to turn the seat around to reach any of the activities, which include the toy bar from the activity mat, as well as several other fun, interactive toys that move, spin, and play music.

The spring-loaded legs let baby bounce, helping him develop strong leg muscles, and the saucer itself wobbles, allowing baby to practice balancing in a safe environment. Note: your child needs to be able to hold his neck up independently to be ready for this toy, and he must be under 30 inches in height.

Stage 3: Interactive Fun for Toddlers
Once your child is able to walk independently, he'll be ready for the Stage 3 "activity table." It is simply a reconfiguration of the Stage 2 ExerSaucer: the standing platform is removed, and the activity ring is reconfigured into an S-shaped table. Its enlongated shape encourages young toddlers to walk from toy to toy.

Safe, Secure Fun
There are plenty of toys on the market to help your child exercise his legs, but we especially like the versatility and safety of the Stage 2 Exersaucer. It gives babies a safer place to develop his leg muscles than infant "walkers," and it provides a lot more stimulating activities than most baby "bouncers" that we've seen. And we are delighted that the Stage 3 configuration means babies don't have to abandon the fun activities once they start walking.

We really like infant activity mats, and this one provides plenty of stimulation with its toy bar. But we wish the padded mat was a bit larger, and, like some other activity mats, that it provided more enticement for babies to practice their "tummy time."

Stage 2 requires quite a bit of adult assembly: in fact, the manual has 11 pages of assembly instructions, and it is quite labor intensive. But once it's put together, your child will be able to use it for many months, and it is much easier to reconfigure into the Stage 3 activity table.

Features:

  • Playmat, ExerSaucer and Activity Table in one unit
  • Folds significantly smaller than non-folding models for easy portability
  • Helps baby achieve 10 developmental milestones
  • 11 Age-appropriate toys
  • Variety of songs, sounds and phrases
  • Landscaped tray surrounds child
  • 3-position height adjustment
  • 3 flip-down feet for statioinary position
  • Seat locks in multiple positions

It was a bit akward to put together (took me 3 evenings), but well worth it. My daughter was around 4 1/2 mos when we got it, and unsure of standing with her legs... Now she jumps and sqeals and seems to really love it. It buys me time to vacume and I know she is safe. Plus because it is a 3 in one, I feel on a tight budget we will really get our moneys worth out of it!

Great as ExerSaucer (Stage 2), Horrible in Stage 3
9/30/2008
My son loved playing in this as an exersaucer and we were able to get about 7 months use as an exersaucer. Our son has learned to crawl/stand up and is not as interested in sitting in this anymore, so we converted to the stage 3 activity table in the "S" shape as directed. This design idea is horrible. It is very wobbly, more support legs are needed on the ends and middle. My son is average for weight/height at 11 months and he has leaned on this product twice and tipped it over. I have converted back to the circle shape and turned the toys around so he can play from the outside. I would recommend this as an exersaucer, but if you are trying to get more bang for your buck and hoping to use it as an activity table too, I would suggest looking at a different 3 in 1 product.

Beware assembly... and your baby's height
9/29/2008
My baby loves the exersaucer and it's really fun to watch her explore the toy. She fell for it straight away and is happily spending time there. Two points to note: it took me a good 5-6 hours to wash parts and assemble. Assembly beats the most seasoned experts (i've assembled all my Ikea purchases and never complained but this was really time consuming). The only advice on how to save time is not to wash any parts before assempbly - you will see that a lot of them baby never makes contact with so you can just wash the product when it's already in one piece. Second point is that my baby is 6 months old, and she is slightly on the tall side but not out of range - 60% percentile for girls. We had to put the toy straight the highest setting so that only her toes touch the bottom not the whole foot. So i am not sure how long the toy will last. seems surprising given that it's supposed to be suitable for boys and girls to walking age - i am not sure she will be able to use it for a few months as we are on the highest setting now at 6 months.

The best thing I've bought for the baby yet
9/15/2008
This was a great purchase. My 6 month old son just loves it. It did, however, come in lots of parts to put together. So far it's held up well and the the toys come off easily to be washed. I would recommend this toy for anyone with an infant. It's even helping to strengthen his legs. I love that this toy can be converted into three stages for the baby and advances to small toddler age. It was worth the money.

Toys are weird
9/11/2008
I don't know what to think about the toys. The sounds are raspy and the finish is really bad. At first, my son got scared especially by the half circle hanging thing. After a month, he is still not a big fan. Plus, I think it is lame to say : "Learning is fun". My son is 4.5 months old and he can sometimes pull the toys out, the little tabs that are keeping them in place are flimsy.
