And when it's time to remove the mobile from the crib, convert it to a music box with soft night light. Mobile recommended for ages birth-5 months. Mobile requires 3 D size batteries. It attaches easily to the side of the crib, and the remote control allows for soothing sounds to be started from afar. When baby outgrows the mobile, remove it and keep the music box and night light. Although the mobile doesn't have a volume control, the music is on the softer side so no startled babies or parents when the button is pressed in the middle of the night.
