GTA: The Sims.... 5/31/2008 this game does a decent job at capturing the feel of New York and all its different areas. the structures of the buildings and streets scream NYC. you get used to the handling of the cars. creativity went into the media aspect as far as internet websites, tv shows and so on..but thats expected from Rockstar for this series. the prostitutes are back...and this time, they actually show them performing sexual acts in the car...so points for realism. iv only handled the 9mm but it feels pretty realistic...but u get shot about 5 times, your dead. basically, the fun comes from Living this game like you do your actual life. its not over the top or exagerated, its designed to be realistic...and i love that about it. kind of like GTA meets the Sims. i will say that it doesnt hold a FLAME to GTA:SA in ANY way...which incompassed so many things on the side to keep you interested in it. i am also busy playing The Godfather right now...which is better than GTA4 by a longshot. True Crime: NYC, in my opinion, does a BETTER job of capturing the actual FEEL of New York City. not saying GTA4 isnt a good game...but i can only play it for short periods of time before im on to something else. i play sparingly but i dont see myself keeping it much longer. overall, pick it up if you like gta. but get THE GODFATHER... iLL . its great 5/31/2008 pro: it has online and in offline ("story mode") u can blow up cars with bombs ect con: it dosent have any airplanes the packer is not what it used to be mostly small stuff like robing someone at night :) but otherwise there isent much to complane about Thank You. Lot's of fun! 5/31/2008 Although I've only made it through 2% of the game I'm amazed at the graphics and physics they built into this game. I enjoy just driving around and checking out the city. Check out Time Square for instance. At some point I'll play the game seriously but for now I'm just in awe of what they've done. Check out the Cinematic view. It's very much like they've programmed a camera in a helicopter hovering above your car as you drive around the city. Highly recommended. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
Fun, but after a while gets a little boring. 5/31/2008 This game was fun when i first started, i played a lot the avergae time for the story line is 30 hours it took me 32 because i wasted time going on rampages. The storyline and achivements were the only thing that kept me going. I would say that the fun that comes from this game is from going on rampages and messing around in freeplay with 15 other people. The online wasnt that good because it froze up sometimes. i didnt get that much enjoyment from just killing people on a team because if there was no lock on it was to hard and if there was lock on it was too easy. But another thing i like doing with my friends was setting up road blocks during races, but then rockstar games made it so that the cars started dissapearing with made it a lot less fun. I would get this game but maybe sell it after a while because it gets boring, without a 2 player campain or having a guest online, or even if u could go on rampages with ur friends that r using your xbox 360 and use cheats, like you could in San Andreas. Now im just playing Shadowrun which is a vry fun online game, and oblivion which doesnt go online but is a very fun RPG game. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
Awesome Game! Great addition to series. 5/31/2008 This game is awesome. The graphics on it are substantially better than the rest of the games, especially hooked up to and HDTV. The multiplayer is a lot of fun. The only downside to this game is that there are no planes that you can fly, like in Vice City and San Andreas, but it is not enough to affect my rating since they still put helicopters. I definitely recommend this game, but not for people that are too young, it can get a little explicit. Go and buy this game, you will be glad you did. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
