just another gta? 5/28/2008 In a sense, yes. It's a sandbox game. Like previous gta's, you have a huge open world environment to basically do whatever you want. Does this get boring, especially for gta veterans? yes. But does this game add something new? YES. This is one of the best games I've ever played, period. The story is great and this is the best in the gta series so far. I recommend picking this title up. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
Longevity? 5/28/2008 In short... I loved this game, what more could you ask for in a game than what GTA 4 offers. Well the answere for me was longevity. I am now bored of it sadly which is good for my friends cause I just let them borrow it. My best way to say this is, to this day I still play guitar hero 3 but I stopped playing GTA 4. What I learned is no matter how many great reviews a game gets only some games can truly be fun to keep playing day in and day out. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
Fun game but not a 10 5/27/2008 The game is pretty good...but not a 10 that some mags are calling it...has quirky controls at times and the camera angles get out of hand..I would rate it a 8 at most ..just my opinion.. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
Freedom = Fun 5/27/2008 Many things are available to enjoy in this classic game. Simply driving around and starting mayhem in the "Alive City" is complete joy. GTA Fans Rejoice, others merely smile... 5/27/2008 This game has everything you would ever want in a sandbox-type game. A greatly detailed and gigantic map, plenty of great cars, and a pretty easy to use interface. I'll admit up front, I never had played a GTA game before this one, and for good reason, I wasn't allowed to. But, alas, I am 19 years old and I wanted to see what all the fuss is about... GTA IV is full of slobbery-good graphics, humorous, if not embarrassing moments and more cop killing than your average inner-city gang. The story mode is deep and gives off a movie-like feel. You get to know the characters and their personalities and along with this you form friendships. I cannot really go to much further than to say that it was a well built game that will provide a lot of entertainment, but for me, it just gets old quick. There is only a certain amount of time I can kill cops over and over and over again (see the online FREE MODE) and there is only a certain amount of time I can try to get in the pants of my virtual girlfriend (see STORY mode). To me, the game got old and just didn't feel that fun. If you have never played a GTA IV game, I'd say rent this game first, then buy it if you absolutely can't get enough, other than that, for the veterans of the GTA Franchise, this will be exactly what you want.
