It works well, and has a nice satisfying solid feel. It's only real drawback is the lack of optical zoom. I was aware of it when I bought it, but thought I could live without. I guess I can. Easy to use, works best in an evenly lighted area.

I own this camera and a HD Cannon HV30. You cant compare the two since the kodak is a portable flip type cam. The Kodak is the best portable cam I have used and perfect for anyone that wants something small, portable, and easy to use.

I also bought a hard shell case from officemax for $10. Best buy carries them for about $20 also. Make sure to get a hard shell case that is meant for portable hard drives. Much better quality case and will also fit a couple little cables or lapel mic if you got one.

Amazon has a perfect lapel mic for this. Its only $25 by Audio Tech. I have it on my blog here: [...]
It also takes decent still shots much better than most phones. I recommend you get this cam for portable use. Get the Cannon HV30 if you want a better all purpose camera though.

Well i should have known better. It's actually a really cool device... However, EIS.....stinks! It simply does not work for me... my son used it and all i got was jittery video... fast moving, jumpy, yuck! The only time it was good is if you put it on a tripod and let it go. Other than that, walking around with it is very tricky and works if you are just very slow to move the device, else, when you play it back, you'll get dizzy!

Low light is another story... very grainy. Your better off with a nice digital camera that takes video, or a HD video camcorder with good low lux capability.

I returned mine.

I bought this camera as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. He LOVES it! He has used it mostly to record several different music concerts we have attended. The video and audio quality exceeded both of our expectations. Everyone we show the videos also comments on how excellent the audio/video quality is. I would recommend this product for anyone looking for astounding quality at a reasonable price!

eXCELLENT IN ALL FEATURES EXCEPT THE DOWNLOADBLE SOFTWARE, YOU NEED TO GO ONLINE TO ARCSOFT MEDIA IMAGES TO GET FULL PACKAGE SO THAT YOU MOVE YOUR CREATED MOVIES TO DVD, ETC. INSTUCTION MANUAL IS SPARSE AT BEST.
