Issues with camcorder...returned it

Got the camcorder as a Christmas gift. Have some issues with it that I feel I need to put out there as I returned it.

First, it would be a great camcorder if not for the faults. But the faults I found outweigh the features. Here are the issues I ran into:

-Received my camcorder with firmware 1.06 that was supposed to fix old issues, but only brought new ones.
-When recording indoors in low light, blue line appears across recordings...very frustrating and makes recording indoors a pain.
-When zooming in indoors, after zooming in about halfway the image goes dark, I mean really dark. When zoomed back out it lightens up again, but whats the point of having zoom if it goes dark every time you zoom in?
-Also, the thin streaks....this is an issue people have had. While recording the screen still shows the thin streaks, although they don't appear in the video. But really, its pretty annoying while filming.

I rated it a two because it could be very good in theory...but the performance isn't up to snuff. I am going to get the creative vado HD. Its 60 dollars less, and from what I have read is a very solid option.

Love this Pocket Video Camera

I absolutely love this handy small camera-camcorder. It makes the best pictures and videos and it is so easy to use once you get the hang of it. It couldn't be simpler to download onto your computer...no extra cords..just plug it directly into the computer. And the quality of the pictures are really good for this size of camera. They are clear and the HD makes them so real looking..like your right there. Perfect for anytime or vacations...whatever. It's so small I just carry it around in my purse with me all the time. And the price can't be beat!!!

upload problems

I like this camera but I have trouble uploading to facebook or even making a dvd or e-mailing some clips. How can I get my videos out there to select relatives and friends?

it's ok outside, when you are indoors it's another story. Really grainy picture quality, even with all the lights on and next to the christmas tree. Not worth it, spend a little more and get something better, I did.

On the basis of reviews and on-line reports, I simply had to get this little camera. It was a good value but so far I am disappointed. It shoots at 1080p, which seems to be the only resolution worth using, but that comes with its own problems. If you use the digital zoom in the camera the resolution and crispness of the image is horribly degraded. my old VHS tape are better. the 1080p videos do not work well on my old MAC laptop computer and the still pictures are of very poor quality. I bought an ipod nano video and except for its inability to shoot in as low light conditions as the kodak, it is way better to use. Even my iphone does a better job. I would save my money and not buy this one again.
