I have to confess I'm not a 'camera' person-- I'm probably like most of you reading this-- just looking for a good camera that takes good pictures. We've had this camera for about a month, and honestly I'm not impressed so far. I had a Nikon before this one that was 4 years old and I accidently brok

I got this pick and it has really been everything I wanted it to be. I like the heavy picks because you can use them on the guitar for a nice clear almost ringy tone and you can take it and use it on the bass too. Also, the Fender 351, well it's a classic shape and it's pretty easy to hold.

this thing rocks, ive used it for a year, and although not quite as good as a tradional smoker, its still really good. no complaints. weve cooked just about everything, and nothing was ever bad, only great tasting moist foods.
bought mine at home depot, 129.00

Best Leapster Game
10/26/2008
This is hands down the best Leapster game. We have about 12 or so of them.

Our 6 yo has plowed through all of the puzzles, but still enjoys going back.

Our soon to be 3 yo twin girls fell in love with this recently. I am buying a second one because they both want to play it so much.

There is a really nice range to the complexity of the games. Monster Maker (and the easier critter crossings) can be handled by The Girls. The Boy can still get some challenge from the advanced puzzles though. That gives them *years* with this thing to stretch their brain.

The LeapFrog Leapster?? Educational Video: The Letter Factory game is equally educational but *incredibly annoying* with the relentless singing. "Get Puzzled" is more educational and actually semi-interesting for a non-kid (at least a geeky non-kid) because the puzzles are non-trivial.

Just a great game. Every kid would benefit from these logic puzzles. Almost makes me forgive Leap Frog for taking "Shape Shop" off of their latest edition of the leapster. Grrr...

Wonderful games beloved by our son
9/13/2008
Our not quite 3 year-old son loves this cartridge. He has been introduced to 10 Leapster cartridges so far, and his favorites are Letters on the Loose and Get Puzzled.

Get Puzzled's monster baker game is like putting together Mr. Potato head like figures of monsters, and when all the parts in the right places, the monster animates (different monsters have different animations), and the Leapster says "It's alive!" or "That's monsterous!" Our son says that right along with the Leapster with a big grin on his face, and then he often play-acts the same movements as the animation. That's how much he enjoys it.

Another excellent game on this cartridge is Sky High. In this game you see a block that is for example 6 units tall, and you have to choose 2 other blocks that together add up to 6 untis. Our son is too young to know addition, but the Hint button says "4 + 2 = 6" and he can then locate a block with a 4 on it and another block with a 2 on it. So it reinforces number recognition in a young child, and addition for an older child. And since he loves building blocks, he can relate to that too.

Critter Crossing is a bit more challenging in our opinion, since it involves placing different pieces of a bridge in such a way that they reach all the way accross the river. So it reinforces problem solving skills.

very engaging

Some of the Lmax game cartridges don't have the staying power of others. This one is a "go-to" over and over again. The puzzles can be quite challenging. Some of them ended up with my son in my lap so we could solve the problem together. Excellent.

4 Year old loves the puzzles...she's learning without realizing it!
3/24/2008
The puzzles presented in this are so much fun for my 4 year old, and she's learning math without having to do the standard "flash card" type exercises! She plays this for hours and is committed to making it to the next level on each game. It's a nice change from the character-oriented games she's used to playing. I highly recommend this game!
