1 of 2 people found the following review helpful: Good Choice for a Budget Mouse 10/7/2007 Although it lacks the more refined features of its pricier cousin the VX Nano (most notably the low-profile USB dongle) and the discontinued V500 (the perfect travel mouse, in my opinion), the V220 is a very good choice for a budget travel mouse. Ergonomically, it fits nicely in my large, adult hand and in my eight-year-old's hand. It feels solid and moves well, with excellent accuracy and control. On the downside, the dongle snaps to the bottom of the mouse, leaving an odd protrusion. Other than that, I think you'll be satisfied with the V220's performance. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
A nice little mouse for my laptop! 10/5/2007 This is an awesome new tech toy for me to play with! While the touch pad on my laptop works just fine, sometimes it's nice to have a traditional mouse to work with. After too much touch pad, my index finger starts getting a little numb, and having a mouse to fall back on is a welcome option for me. This one certainly fits the bill! I took it right out of the package, popped the battery into the body of the mouse, stuck the USB sensor in, and was able to use my new mouse in under a minute. Works like a charm, too--quick response, and since it's optical, no annoying ball to deal with. Plus it's small enough for my hand, and should travel very easily. Very smooth scroll wheel, and responsive buttons. Basically, this is a good choice if you're looking for a laptop mouse. I'm quite pleased with it overall, and it'll offer me a lovely alternative to the touch pad. Thank You. Was this review helpful?

It seems that the battery was not well positioned inside the compartment. Eventually I was able to fix this problem. After that the mouse works fine. I am not able to change my original review to the 4 stars that the working product deserves. The software (a whopping 50+ MB file) must be installed to access the special features such as zooming and side to side scrolling. My only complaint is that the product feels too light and insubstantial in the hand. A heavier, larger mouse would be more in line with what one is used to on desktops. Thank You. 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful: Nice Mouse For Basic Needs 10/1/2007 This is a nice mouse for the price. Let's take a look from the top and see if it is for you. Packaging: This is trivial, but so many of these plastic packaged products require a chainsaw to open. That's not the case with this one. Setup: This model (and the V320) do not come with an installation CD with the Set Point software. In order to utilize all of the features of the mouse, you need to download the software from Logitech's web site. The file is just under 60 Mb so allow a few minutes for download. The installation took about 10 minutes on my laptop. Everything is straightforward, just make sure you allow about 20 minutes total. Usage: This mouse has some nice features. The on/off switch is automatic based on whether the USB adapter is docked or not. You can also turn it off manually. Tracking is very precise, and it has a couple of extras on the scroll wheel. If you push down on the scroll wheel, you get a magnifying glass and can then use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out. The scroll wheel also tilts left and right for horizontal scrolling. If you hover over the Logitech icon, you get a reading on the battery life in the mouse. The only thing I would like to see different is for the mouse itself to be a little bit larger. If you have larger hands, this may be an issue (consider the V320 instead). Conclusion: If you are only looking for a basic mouse, this should do the trick. You will not find any added features for controlling media players or gaming. If those are your needs, you should consider an alternative. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
