Esquire (1-year)
Esquire should be Required
I'm unsure why I had not found out about Esquire earlier. It's a great magazine all around. From fantastic articles about things you normally wouldn't see in stuff like People, or even Time. Also included are stories about some of the best actors and icons in American entertainment. They may not be responsible for world changes, but they're important in their own respect. Much like Playboy, s

Sunset (1-year)
Great Magazine for a Year or Two
I like Sunset for it great West Coast gardening, travel and do-it-yourself home improvement and food sections. But after a year or two, the articles become redundant. I usually subscribe for a period, then drop the subscription of a couple of years. However, it is the best publication I am aware of for plants and landscaping in California and the Western U.S. Most national publications (Hortic

Very Disappointed.
They began my subscription with an issue that is already over two months behind the newsstand. Typical corporate crap...! Like reducing the value of the subscritpion by 20 percent or so.
Thanks alot Amazon, I will not forget who organized this consumer rip-off.

Clean Eating
A must-read magazine for those who want to be fit
My title says it all. I can't tell you how wonderful this magazine is. Of course, it's published by one of bodybuilding greats in the fitness industry, Bob Kennedy. But it's not just for bodybuilders or professionals. It's for anyone who wants to either lose weight or be fit or simply to eat well and enjoy life.
It's full of great articles that you won't get elsewhere. And I have foun

Atlantic Monthly
Intellectually Stimulating and Highly Anticipated
The Atlantic is an intellectual magazine and one that I have been reading on and off for many years. This magazine is best known for its political/current events/social articles that tackle some tough issues of the day and it delivers most effectively when it's offering some commentary on world events and social issues and these are the articles I turn to first when I read The Atlantic. I like the

SmartMoney (1-year)
Wanted something a little more technical
I felt that smart money was a little too dumbed down. I was looking for a personal finance magazine that strongly backed their suggestions with well thought out, detailed, explanations.
I choose Kiplinger's over SmartMoney after reading both for a year.

Harvard Business Review
S C R E W every management/leadership trainin
Every issue has more than one great idea or example of how to handle crisis in every form from problematic employees, an inept manager who needs to be subtlety told to shut up or a product liability scenario that could possibly bankrupt your company.
Real leaders contribute to the HBR while it dispenses with most of the worthless psychologists Working with Emotional Intelligence who

Cosmopolitan (1-year)
A must have for a young female.
I have been a Cosmo subscriber for over 3 years. One of my favorite magazines. I actually read it cover to cover every month. Yes its kinda repetitive, but its very fun and has plenty of advice for a woman on various topics. It has a little bit of everything. Plus your boyfriend/husband can read it when you are done!
4 stars for me.

pleasantly surprised
I bought the subscription for my husband because he wanted it. I thought it would a less sleazy version of Maxium, not to trash Maxium, but come on. Anyways, I was pleasantly surprised because not only did my husband love the magazine, I also ended up reading it and getting health and diet tips. We now have a magazine we can actually have a conversation about.

The Official Xbox Magazine [1-year]
Lame, Horrible Service
When I bought my Xbox 360, there was a 'One free issue' thing for OXM, which I sent in to see how it was. The magazine's content itself is relatively horrible. The writer's lack creativity and humor. The reviews are useless. I couldn't stand to read much of the content. The discs the game comes with are pretty pointless as well.
To top that off, their claim that the free issue had 'n

Horrible
Like the others, I received this magazine for free via Amazon. It is not a magazine for your typical mom. If you have a ton of money to spend on designer clothes for your child than this magazine is for you. Otherwise save your money and time and buy a subscription for a more useful magazine designed for real moms, personally I am a fan of Parent Magazine. I do not predict that this magazine wi

Not quite what I expected

So Mental Floss was a mag that I stumbled upon awhile back in a store and was blown away. This was a magazine that seemed to be tailor-made for me.
I am a huge trivia buff as well as a fan of geeky humor and this magazie incorporated both of these passions as well as a great articles into a nice package. My only dislike is that it only comes out once every two months. I want a new

By Far the Best Magazine on Newstands
This is by far my favorite magazine. It's dynamic- it doesn't just focus on one topic, but many! Glamour has something for everyone, be it makeup tips or clothes for your body type, work out regimes, sex tips, and articles on global issues. Yes, some of the articles can be a bit repetitive, but come on, your reading a magazine, not a Shakespearean novel.

I've subscribed to this magazine since 2001. To help you avoid all misconceptions, there are no stories - it's not a "women's" magazine in that sense. The magazine focuses on the latest styles and fashions and, in my opinion, does not insist on designer name brands to meet these styles but will rather focus on a particular "look" that can be replicated. Many of the items in the actual magazine ar

Come on Amazon! Cut us a break!
$30 for a subscription saving 40%? This is such blatant false advertising! Anyone can get a subscription from the publisher direct for $26.95. Easy searching online can get you better than that from wholesale magazine distributors. This is pathetic.
And of course, I agree with everyone else, this is an awesome magazine. I am only criticizing Amazon here.
