I like flip phones to talk on, and a flip cell phone is not conducive to timely emailing. The Peek device has been great for me. Yes, I do have yet another gadget to have to carry around, but it is worth it. The interface is clean, familiar, and simple to use.

I bought this Peek and purchased the cord to upgrade it to a Peek Pronto, at a cost of $15 with free shipping, and the upgrade was simple and successful. I now have a Peek Pronto for less than what a Peek Pronto costs.

It is a great device. For those of you who remember the short lived Ogo, this device is much better and it feels like a familiar email interface. My only complaint is the monthly fee. It would be much more reasonable to charge between $10-$12 rather than $20 a month. Yearly subscriptions are available at a slight discount, but it remains a bit pricey. Still, I love the device and the service.

I live where many cell phones do not have a signal, including the cell company who claims to have the most coverage, but the Peek has service. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to have access to email and does not want to carry around a computer to get it.

Why would someone want to buy this?

Riddle me this Batman!

What would someone want to buy this in this day any age of Blackberries, IPhones, G1s, and soon to be released Pre?

I don't understand what someone would want to carry two separate devices for phone and email? Not to mention web surfing.

Sorry, but I am not buying it.

I give it two stars because the interface looks very nice.

Limited application/customer service very poor

Peek much more limiting than I expected for the monthly cost. Updates came 4-5 hours apart much too late to depend on for business or family needs.

Worst of all was the customer service rep's ability to solve problems...everything had "to be checked with corporate". Really nice people, but I finally gave up and canceled the service.

I bought mine about 3 weeks ago. I have not let go of this since then. For the price for unlimited e-mail and text messaging is just priced right. Instead of a blackberry or whatever(too expensive). I get messages where ever. I have set-up my business e-mails to come to my peek. So, I don't have to get my laptop and check messages. I think the software could be polished better. I think in time that will happen.
