SVAT WRC101 Wireless Outdoor Remote Control Power Outlet
Didn't work for long.
I purchased 2 of these to run an outdoor fountain. The first one worked for about 2 months and then the unit quit. The second worked for about 9 months, and then quit also. The remotes work - the unit itself just stopped.

Joby GP1-0YEN Gorillapod Flexible Tripod (Yellow)
Great product - could be cheaper
When I first ordered this product from Amazon I thought it was just a camera tripod - but was tickled to find out it supported other devices as well!
As any iPhone user knows, it can be kind of a pain watching videos on the device while holding it in your hands, and if you are in a car or on a train, you have to look down at your hand, which causes neck strain.

Nikon 55-200mm f/ 4-5.6G ED IF AF-S DX VR Zoom Nikkor Lens
Good performance... But question yourself first.
I bought this lens to complement the kit lens (18-55mm) that came with my Nikon D40. After about a month of using this lens, my fondness for it has depleted... let me explain:
The performance of this lens is quite surprising for its low cost. It's relatively sharp, and the colors are quite good. Obviously (since this is a cheap lens) the body of this lens is not rugged and up to pro s

Canon Remote Switch RS60 E3
Great device for a cheap price.
This remote is great. When I first got it, just testing it out makes my life easier for photography. It's much more easier than pressing the shutter button and causing even more shake. Simply, it works the way it was made. Some reviewers have given this item a low rating because they figured it was intended for self portraits, etc and the cable was not long enough (cable is around 1 1/2'). I don't

Celestron SkyScout Personal Planetarium
Better than I expected
I bought this as a present for my husband and he loved it. I was impressed with the precision and quickness of targeting a star. We also have a Celestron telescope so we may be inclined to be thrilled by things that supplement our stargazing habit. This is a nice hand held tool for quickly figuring out what you're looking at in the sky.

Nikon 18-55mm f/ 3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens
Excellent light weight walk about lens
I bought this 18-55 mm VR lens as a backup lens when my Nikon 18-200 VR mm lens was in the shop being repaired under warentee after about 14 month use. I have not been disappointed with this lens and from what I can tell it's pretty equivalent to the much more expensive Nikon 18-200 mm VR lens over the 18-55 mm range. There are times I'll take this lens rather than the 18-200 mm lens because it's

Nikon 16-85mm f/ 3.5-5.6G AF-S DX ED VR Nikkor Wide Angle Telephoto Zoom Lens fo
great lens for walkabouts
A great lens for a day walking around your favorite city (a walkabout)..at 16mm great for wide shots..getting in an entire doorway or unusual window. At 85..not a lot of telephoto but enough to get you by. I bought this lens to replace a wonderful 18-55 I had..this gives me just a bit more width and 50% more telephoto. VR works great in low light situtations to let you drop your sutter spee

MADE Always On AO-1119-QLK Wrap-Up Compact Camera Wrap (Quilted Black)
Good idea, but...
I really liked the idea of an "always on" case for my digital camera camera (Olympus 850) for the additional protection and less fumbling while out taking pictures. I bought the camera to use while hiking, camping, and deployed and it gets a lot of use. Because it gets so much use I charge the battery frequently and this is where the case is NOT a good match for this camera.

Coby 1.5-Inch Digital Photo Keychain (White)
DO NOT BUY!!!
I purchased this product and had major problems with it. It does not work with a mac and only after several attempts did it work with windows, or so I thought. When I came back to my computer to load the pictures, it stopped working. The key chain would not pull up the options menu. It would only turn on and whenever anything was pressed it would turn off. Don't get this product, it is defective a

Philips 8.5-Inch Digital Picture Frame (White)
dissapointment
I spent a lot of time to organize my photos on the computer renaming them so they all are in proper time sequence. Guess what, the frame does not recognize the decimal order such that numbers 11 jumps ahad of number 2 like it was a binary code not a decimal number!
Another thing is that the frame cuts the top of the photos and displays two different size images for the same photo in its setu

Nikon EN-EL3e Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery for D200, D300, D700 and D80 Digital S

Lowepro SlingShot 300 All-Weather Camera Bag (Black)
Better than the competition
I shopped a lot for slig bags as it seemed the way to go with the way I use my camera. The bag is light and very comfortable. The details that they worked out for it makes it impossible to beat. The only reason for not giving it a 5 is that when you swing it around front it is a little high for my long arms. Plus, I grade tough.Would not trade for the competition.

Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/ 4.0-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Came
very nice long-range affordable telephoto
I mainly use prime lenses but my longest lens maxes out at 85mm. So when I saw this lens 250mm (similar to 400mm on full-frame) with a reasonable price, I grabbed it.
The colors are rendered well, the IS works like a charm.
Note - this is an EF-S lens so you won't be able to use it on a full-sensor camera body later - only on the cropped-sensor cameras like the Rebel X

Tiffen 58mm Infra-Red 87 Filter
What Junk
DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK... spend a little more and get better quality. I wish I'd read these reviews first. They mention that the threads on this filter are not well made... I put it on the camera and couldn't get it off. Took ten minutes to loosen it. I tried again...this time not tightening it. Same problem. It is in the trash. I wouldn't even give it away.

Fantastic lens for cheap price.
I just received the lens a couple of hours ago. I tried it on my D40 and the results were amazing.
I bought the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 two months ago and it does give very good results so far.
However this lens is from the very first photos is much better.
So far I noticed on the lens the following:
Barrel distortion isn't as obvious as in my Sigma lens.

Joby GP1-0REN Gorillapod Flexible Tripod (Red)
Great Tripod
My girlfriend and I are doing quite a bit of traveling, therefore taking a lot of photos. Many times I use the timer to get pictures of the both of us; however, dozens of photos were tilted pretty bad because the surface I would sit the camera on was usually a rock or something similar. After rotating and cropping, we were losing a majority of the shot.

Giottos MH1004 Mini Ball Head with Single Knob for Ball and Pan

I bought two. Lost the rubber cap for threaded bolt on top almost immediately. I use the heads on two mono-pods purchased at same time. Has stayed on securely (except for above mentioned cap) and camera attaches by rotating mono-pod. Loosening knob on the side causes the ball to rotate and tilt, and also the whole gizmo to rotate. No instructions included. I like to tighten this knob before attach

Canon 72mm UV Haze Filter
good
I am a beginner in photography and I am aware of the debate about using a filter and not using a filter. I chose to use one to protect my lens although it seems a little expensive for what it is. This filter is easy to install on the lens and remove for cleaning. It is working as I expected it to.
