Earlier this year I bought the Poulan PP125 split shaft trimmer from Amazon. At first, it gave me some problems, and I rated it low. I then figured out how to keep it from stalling and I now rate it as very good. Out of necessity, I had to buy a Ryobi edger attachment from Home Depot, as my old edger literally died. The Ryobi cost about $69.00. It broke down after the first use so I took it back and got another Ryobi. It also has performed poorly, and I think the overall construction is sub-par, especially the rather thin wheel.

So, I bought the Poulan edger attachment from Amazon. It arrived very quickly with free shipping, and I tried it for the first time today. All I can say is that this attachment is 100% better than the Ryobi. The Poulan wheel is substantial and keeps the attachment lined up nicely. The Ryobi wheel is flimsy and easily gets out of alignment. The metal support for the wheel on the Ryobi is very weak, and can bend easily. The Poulan support for the wheel is very strong. It was a lesson learned the hard way. I enthusiastically recommend the Poulan edger attachment.

What can you say when something does what it is supposed to do and it does just what you expected it to do when you bought it. It's an edger and it edges. Worked great right out of the box. Attaches quickly with no tools, in like, 15 seconds. Seriously! Quality construction, appears to be well made.

I finally found an edger that works first time out of the box. This is made by Husqvarna and matches up to my Husqvarna trimmer drive shaft. I edge 500+ ft of sidewalk and driveway each time and this makes quick work of it.

Pros: Works out of the box, already assembled. Easy adjustment of the edging depth. Fits my trimmer power shaft. Easy to guide. Debris flap keeps most of the cutting on the surface.

Cons: Wish it were a slightly longer blade.

This edging attachment is great! Out of the box and onto the trimmer in just a couple of minutes. Very adjustable and edges as fast as you move it. One wheel means you can edge on a curb without it wanting to lean over. Construction is very solid and should outlast my trimmer. The only shortfall is that it is a bit short for me and I have to bend over a bit to use it. The trimmer worked so fast bending was not an issue.

I'm glad I read the reviews on here. I almost bought a lower priced edger attachment, I'm glad I didn't. This Poulan edger gets the job done, and very well! Best price was here on Amazon. Works great on my new Lehr propane trimmer!!
