Fuji Quickload Film Holder 4X5

A good idea too late in an era of digital doodoo

Too bad quickload film wasn't around when I became interested in large format photography in the 1980's. Loading the film holders and carrying them around always was part of the "tradition" of bulk and struggle with the large cameras and the large films, and note that I'm talking about 4 x 5 here which is pixie sized compared to other formats. The quickloader is inserted into the camera, the quickload film is put in with an envelope, the image is taken and the film goes back into the envelope. Very, very cool. No more sweating and struggling with the dark bag.
Problem is: Fuji says people aren't buying enough of the Quickload film and they plan to discontinue the format. Oh well. For me the digital crowd is ruining a lot of good stuff out there that still works nicely and frankly, still delivers better pictures.
