Life-like Picture 6/29/2008 Initial purchase was on Amazon through another seller, which didn't come through... a bit frustrating, but once I ordered directly from Amazon, everything was great. Have had the TV for a few weeks now - just added HD and DVR with my existing DirecTV subscription, and the picture is really life-like. The detail is stunning - especially sports. Watching the NBA games, the detail on the player tattoos, even. Can't wait for football season! I will say that changing channels seems to take a little bit longer than before, but other than that, no complaints (and that's a small one). I'd read on Amazon that the TV sound wasn't the best, but it sounds fine, even at low volume. TV set up was easy, and the delivery was well ahead of schedule. With the 30-day price guarantee, I've shaved close to another $200 off of the price I originally paid for it, and Amazon (all via e-mail) has been very responsive in providing the discounts (subsequent pricing on Amazon compared to what I initially paid). You won't go wrong with this TV, in my opinion, and Amazon's customer service is outstanding. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
Exceeds expectations 6/29/2008 Did a million years of hunting & comparing. We're SO pleased with this set, and glad we didn't settle for less. Ordered from Amazon, and the set arrived TWO business days later! Really amazing service, totally unexpected, kudos to CEVA. The picture is stunning, even with our old Sony standard dvd player. Very good picture but sound could be a little better 6/29/2008 The picture quality in standard and HD is fantastic looking straight at the screen. However, at 45 degrees - i.e. looking from a loveseat on the side - the picture washes out to just acceptable. The new Panasonic LCD's and all plasma do not have this problem. Sound quality is acceptable but not great. The set should have contained a subwoofer. There is no excuse for this omission as smaller and cheaper sets have better sound. Thank You. AWESOME PICTURE, GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY 6/28/2008 ORDERED THIS SET ON A SATURDAY AND RECEIVED IT ON A TUESDAY, GREAT DELIVERY TIME FRAME. THE PICTURE IS AWSOME AND ALL THE FEATURES ARE VERY EASY TO USE AFTER A LITTLE PRACTICE. I THOUGHT LIVE BROADCASTS WERE GOING TO BE REALISTIC, BUT LET ME TELL YOU, THE OTHER PROGRAMING IS JUST AS GOOD IN HD. REGULAR BRODCASTING IS ALSO GOOD, BETTER THAN ALOT OF OTHER MODELS FROM COMPETITORS. BROUGHT AT ONE PRICE A WEEK LATER PRICE WAS REDUCED, E-MAILED AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GOT A PRICE REDUCTION REFUND, CAN'T GO WRONG WITH AMAZON.COM. Great TV...Excellent Service 6/27/2008 Received my Samsung 46" HDTV from Amazon. I confess I have never spent that much money over the internet. I was a little apprehensive to order something of that much value, but saving $500 with Amazon over Circuit City or Best Buy convinced me to buy from Amazon. For those that may be a little fearful, don't worry. My experience was great. I ordered the TV on Tuesday and it was delievered on Friday, talk about fast shipping. Plus, the shipping was FREE, and I paid no tax. I am in the prcess of buying another HDTV for my bedroom. I'll have no problem ordering from Amazon. I highly recommend the Samusng TV as well.
