AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING 6/25/2008 Simply the best TV I've seen... and the price is great as well! I've seen the SONY's and felt the XBR was a bit over my budget (I've owned prior XBRs and they ROCK). The TV is not only super bright, the picture quality and 120 mhz gives you amazing quality. Almost 3D'ish. I even watched the free HD DVDs that came w/ my HD player (cheesy movies), just to watch and enjoy it in 1080p. I'm happy and in loved. Just not happy I got the 12 months = 0% (instead of many other places offering 24 or 36 months) Thank You. Was this review helpful?
This TV is bad to the bone 6/24/2008 The Samsung LN46A650 is awesome. I previously purchased a 50" plasma, returned it for a 40" LCD, returned it and finally purchased this TV. I watched the Stanley Cup finals this past spring and the action was flawless. Hockey is difficult for an LCD because of the fast motion on a white background. This TV with it's fast processor was just as good if not better than plasma. But, it's technical. There is a lot to learn about what you can do with it so read the manual! Thank You. Fast HDTV... Great price! 6/24/2008 After doing some price comparison's with Best Buy, Pacific Sales, Circuit City, ebay, and Amazon.com... Amazon.com came out on top. The perfect TV for me 6/23/2008 The picture quality of this TV is incredible! I watched a few DVDs right when I got it, and the TV actually made me feel like I was IN the action! There is almost no action blur and the picture is so detailed that you can see the specific definition and different colors in a marble floor in a movie. The touch of red color has been a conversation starter for most of our guests. It's so subtle that people have to go up and touch the TV to make sure their eyes aren't playing tricks. The only drawbacks that I can think of is the fact that the picture-in-picture is for different inputs only, so you can't watch 2 different TV shows at a time, and that the only input slot that works for the 3-prong connections (yellow, red, and white) is on the left side of the TV and not the back. Even with these insignificant issues, I couldn't be happier with this TV. Also, I saw that it was listed as the "Staff Favorite" TV at Sears yesterday, so I must not be alone in my opinion! Fantastic TV 6/22/2008 Very pleased with this television. I was a little nervous about the "touch of color" not having seen the set in person prior to purchasing it. However, now that I have it in front of me I'd have to say that the very faint color of red around the edge really adds a premium look to the set. I couldn't be happier with the picture and honestly I wouldn't expect anything less from Samsung. If I had a single complaint about any component of the set I guess it'd be with the remote. While it's intuitive and very easy to use, it looks as though it was designed for someone who's almost completely blind... Honestly, if your vision is so poor that you need the buttons on your remote that large, what are you doing buying a high-def TV anyway? I guess the over-sized button design would also favor the "fat fingered" viewer as well. And who knows, with the amount of time I'm sure to be spending in front of this thing, the "fat finger design" might just come in handy. Hope that helps, I'm gonna go for a jog now... Thank You.
