The Belkin and Amazon product descriptions were written before the Delphi XpressRC came to market, and have not been updated. I took a chance buying this combination, but the result is glorious! Clear full sound, and a bright color display displaying program details. The Belkin "boombox" is up to

I bought these for my 14 month old son. They look darling in person and seem to be well-padded. He didn't even have them on long, however, before his feet started to appear pinkish, especially around the top of the sandal. I had to take them off and carry him, as I didn't want to allow them to damag

No matter how long I leave them charging, it seems that I just can't break 80% 'charged'. The highest I've squeezed out of them is 79%, but average about 74% according to the Apple wireless keyboard I put them in. Am I doing something wrong? Is using the keyboard's built in gauge not an accurate mea

Product Description:

Amazon Best of the Month, May 2008: Stephenie Meyer, creator of the phenomenal teen-vamp Twilight series, takes paranormal romance into alien territory in her first adult novel. Those wary of sci-fi or teen angst will be pleasantly surprised by this mature and imaginative thriller, propelled by equal parts action and emotion. A species of altruistic parasites has peacefully assumed control of the minds and bodies of most humans, but feisty Melanie Stryder won't surrender her mind to the alien soul called Wanderer. Overwhelmed by Melanie's memories of fellow resistor Jared, Wanderer yields to her body's longing and sets off into the desert to find him. Likely the first love triangle involving just two bodies, it's unabashedly romantic, and the characters (human and alien) genuinely endearing. Readers intrigued by this familiar-yet-alien world will gleefully note that the story's end leaves the door open for a sequel--or another series. --Mari Malcolm
The author of the Twilight series of # 1 bestsellers delivers her brilliant first novel for adults: a gripping story of love and betrayal in a future with the fate of humanity at stake.

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of their human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed.

Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, knew about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the too vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of the man Melanie loves-Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer yearns for a man she's never met. As outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off to search for the man they both love.

Featuring what may be the first love triangle involving only two bodies, THE HOST is a riveting and unforgettable novel that will bring a vast new readership to one of the most compelling writers of our time.

Exceeds Expectations
6/30/2008
When I first picked up The Host, I had mixed emotions about it. I've been a Stephenie Meyer fan since Twilight first came out, and was ecstatic that she came out with a new book. But I also knew this wasn't anything like the Twilight series, and knew I shouldn't compare it. And after having read some of the reviews, I was a bit wary. But I knew Stephenie Meyer to be an amazing author and knew that I had to read her new story.

And boy am I glad I did. True this story isn't like Twilight in the sense that there are no vampires. But all the human conflicts and emotions are there. In fact, I think Meyer delves more in depth in the psyche of the characters in this novel than her previous ones. There's so much character to Wanderer and Melanie. Even the minor characters come alive, to the point that you'll miss them once the story is done.

The plot is interesting, and really had me wondering. I'm not much of a sci-fi fan, but it didn't matter with the story. Like Meyer said, the genre doesn't really matter, so long as the novel is good.

So my advice is to stop reading this review and go and get the book. You'll be so glad you did!

Stephenie Meyer has outdone herself. I was skeptical at first, because I am a big Edward fan, but once I gave it a chance I enjoyed this unequaled novel even better than the Twilight trilogy. The worth of souls is great. . . .

Very good! I enjoyed it.

I am of course a fan of Meyer's other books (the Twilight series) and this book feels much like those. The story was great and interesting to read. Her writing style though is lenthy. There were chapters in the book that didn't really do anything for the main story line, but that were fun to read and contained character building information. I'm glad that I read it and will pass it on to my friends!

A really good read.

I've never read Ms. Meyer's Twilight series and had never heard of her. A friend recommended and loaned me the book. I could hardly put it down. It was a fast, fun read. I'm a big sci-fi fan and loved the relationship and character-driven angle. I wouldn't call it great literature, but I'd recommend it to almost anyone.
