The Revolution is a great book! 6/14/2008 The Revolution is a great book. When you read this book you will realize that Ron Paul is a TRUE American Patriot, with great words of widsom, very much like our Founding Fathers. When he writes about America's current situation, he nails the issues right on the head. Fellow Americans do yourself a favor, pick up a copy of the US Constitution, the Federalist letters and the Anti-Federalist letters and read them. You will then agree almost 100% with what needs to be done with our government, it must limit itself to the powers granted by the Constitution no more no less. Only then we can have our true Freedoms back and America can prosper once again. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
Ron Paul should be President 6/13/2008 This is a temendous summary of Ron Paul's great thinking regarding what America can be. It is a well written, easily understood, yet thorough expanation of what he has learned during a lifetime full of service in both the private sector and in the U.S. Congress. The Way It Should Be 6/13/2008 Ron Paul's views that are expressed in this book are so on point that it makes it all the more sad after reading, to see the heads of our elected officials turn the other way day after day about what should be fundamentals of a free government. Granted, Ron Paul has a very different opinion than what we are experiencing today in the US but I firmly believe that that is due to at least a century of misguidance, sporadic corruption, and both intentional and unintentional misinterpretation of government policies and our constitution. Ron Paul's views are not so different when compared to the constitution and the way we governed ourselves for the first century of our existence as an independent nation. We need to go back to the basics and this book is a great place to begin but in fact it is merely the tip of the iceberg. The only way we can achieve such a turnaround is through education. The general public needs to be educated and we are far from that at this point in time. The public turning to mainstream media (TV & newspaper) for education is simply keeping them uninformed and ignorant to very real facts and topics. Things are turning around slowly but surely as the new generations begin to mature, make their voices heard, and naturally express an openness to real change for the better and against imperfections and misdirected political PR powerhouse campaigns that used media as a vehicle, most predominantly, throughout previous generations. The book opened me up to much of the above. It's very well written, clear and concise with numerous direct references that are able to be researched and verified. I highly recommend buying this book simply for the educational leverage it will provide you with. Buy it for more than just yourself. Then after you read it, loan it out to more people. It's not often that I do not think "it's about the sales/money", this book it truly on point. The sales should reflect that and they do, therefore helping its cause. Thank You. A Great Primer on the Issues Affecting the US Today 6/13/2008 Short but still packing a powerful punch, this book is a must read for anyone wanting to go beyond the superficial process that our national elections have become. Candidates no longer look at the SERIOUS issues affecting our country and, instead, quibble over nonsense while they charge forth towards ever expanding government in all walks of life and blindly ignore the peril of the Fed continually debasing our currency and the attacks on civil & economic liberties by both major parties. If the presidential debates consisted of candidates answering the difficult questions posed in this book, I would actual watch them. Instead, they are fluff shows carefully choreographed to give each candidate nice soundbites to use to grab the 15 second attention span of the average public. Unfortunately, I'm afraid most Americans and our political elites won't bother to address these difficult concepts until it's too late. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
