Crazy fun. 9/4/2008 There is just something about getting into the game as much as you do with some of the Wii games that can bring out the craziness in people. Lots of laughing is usually involved. We have had the Wii for many months now and the games never seem to get boring. What is great about it is that it can be enjoyed by nearly all ages due to the fact that it can work with minimal effort or you can expend a lot of effort to play the games. I think does a lot for helping develope coordination of hand and eye (and sometimes even feet). It comes with the Sports Game and there are many things you can select to play off of that particular game that will keep you going for a long time. Boxing, Baseball, Bowling, Tennis - all fun. You start by making up your own character (Miis) and this is pretty easy to do. You have all sorts of features to select from to make your character (who will play all these games) look just like yourself. The system has held up well for us and the controllers are very durable, nothing has broken so far even on one or two occasions where the controller has left a hand and flow across the room (use those wrist straps!) they have continued to work very well. Lots of fun with as much exercise power as you wish to expend on some of the games. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
very fun 9/4/2008 The wii's graphics are pretty good, overall it might be the best thing that Nintendo has to offer. The only thing that stinks is that there are not alot of games for it. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
Awesome for casual non-gamer 9/3/2008 Of course everyone will say that the graphics don't compare to 360 or PS3, duh! But this system is for having fun with other people in the same room, not sitting in a dark basement for hours yelling into a headset mic. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
Not usually a gamer...but I am now! 9/1/2008 I don't usually play video games. That's because I married one of those gamer nerds who generally beats me at everything. What's the fun in that? Well...the fun is now the Wii! Because he's used the PS2 and the Dreamcast and all those older models, he's not so great on the Wii. Where this item was manufactured for people like me...spazzes! Thanks to the Wii, when I jerk and bend and twist and jump, so does my game! I love it! Thank You. Was this review helpful?
Wii Review 8/31/2008 Wii The Wii provides entertainment, excercise, news, forecast, internet, download of old and new games, photo and video support, internet and sevral system updates. However the Wii lacks features of the Playstation 3 and XBox 360 graphics, DVD, Blu-ray or HD DVD support, low price for games, titles, common video formats such as WMV and MPEG-4 however, it does support motion J-PEG, motion AVI, and Motion Quicktime MOV, as well as titles for download. In defense of the Wii, unlike both systems it has a better remote that can be used for great gaming and exercise as well as more excercise by real-life sports and fitness games by emulating on-screen characters.
