18 of 29 people found the following review helpful: Excellent DVD for relaxation and stress-relief 5/12/2007 This is an excellent video. It is slow-paced and really helps me unwind. It is broken up into a number of routines, so you can do an hour-long routine in the morning, or you can settle for just 25 minutes. The evening routines are mostly about 40 minutes. There are also routines targetted at sleeplesness and neck and shoulder problems. The bonus interviews are not particularly interesting, but that's ok. Barbara Benagh is a truly wonderful yoga instructor and I plan to buy more DVD's with her as the instructor. If there was one feature I would have liked to have, it would be the ability to program my own routines by combining individual practices. Thank You. Was this review helpful?

I would highly recommend this one to anyone, the beginner or an advanced level. You can pick and choose your sessions and I love the chapters dedicated to various issues of the body. All the poses are very easy to follow and makes you forget for a moment you are in front of the TV, and not on the secluded beach somewhere... Thank You. Was this review helpful?
26 of 28 people found the following review helpful: Yoga Like My Mom Used to Teach in the 70s! 5/12/2007 I didn't want that new kind of yoga where it is like a gym teacher or aerobics instructor barking "encouragement" about losing fat and "go go go!" I wanted yoga like my Mom taught in the 70s. It relaxed my body, soothed my mind, connected me with the power of my breathe, and re-created my natural physical limberness and emotional strength. And this DVD is finally one that does that! There are so many great routines, which all really do what they say they will. Each day I just decide what I need - shoulder tightness fixed, low back pain removed, deep rest, freedom from anxiety, a mood uplift - and just start at the menu screen and whatever I am seeking is always there. I feel renewed in every way when I am done. She even has moves my Mom never showed us in her classes! There is something healing and wholesome in this type of yoga which establishes a feeling of total wellness. And people who never have done yoga before or are rusty will easily be able to do many of these routines. Plus there's no overly peppy drill sergeant annoying you. Thank You. Was this review helpful?

I really don't like doing yoga at the gym because its a little to slow but I do have alot of tenion in my neck, shoulders and back so I figured I needed to try something. I've only used the stress relief for back, neck and shoulders and it really helps. After the exercise, I feel looser and less tense. I have not had a chance to watch the rest but if this portion is good, I'm sure the rest is. Thank You. Was this review helpful?
