Not to be used for field recordings 11/2/2008 As a journalist who depends on good and handy recording equipment I was looking for something new. So far I relied on MD recorders. I got the Zoom H2, because I read a lot of great reviews about it...It is a good recorder, but not a good recorder for field recordings. The plastic made me cringe, when I saw it....this recorder is fine for sit down interviews, but not if you're outside, trying to catch sounds in different situations and weather conditions.... Just what I was looking for! 11/2/2008 I am a new songwriter and I needed a way to record my songs to give to my recording producer. This wonderful piece of equipment was just what I was looking for!! It was so easy to use and I had no trouble understanding the basics from the instruction manual.
