Dr. Scholls online comparison shopping

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

Your feet will love most any shoes manufactured by Dr Scholls Shoes. Since their first appearance in the market in the 60’s, they have comforted many a sole and continue to do so.

I wore the original arch-supporting Dr Scholls Womens Exercise Sandal years ago. I did not think they looked too classy or sexy, but they were certainly comfortable to walk in.

A year ago, riddled by tired legs and restless feet, I browsed online for the latest and most comfortable Dr Scholls sandals and came across the Twist and Slide. I had never seen it in person, but the description seemed to fit me like Cinderella’s slipper, except it seemed like it would be a lot more comfy.

I usually wear half a size down when wearing open shoes, so I ordered an 8 in brown. When they arrived in the mail and I tried them on, sure they did not look as kittenish as my high-heeled pumps, but they were certainly the most comfortable sandal I had worn in years. They have an adjustable strap, so their width should not be a problem.

In fact a year later, I am still wearing them around the house as slippers when I need to rest my legs – they provide a massage while walking or standing. I have a second pair in black for walking outdoors, going to the pool and driving. The closest description I can give of these sandals is that they feel like I can imagine it must be to walk on marshmallows.

I live in a humid climate and even then, my feet do not sweat when walking outdoors. The massage they provide with the small nubs on the insole, that stimulate different parts of my feet make me crave them even when walking barefoot on a carpeted floor.
These are recommendable for anyone who wants to forget they have feet and be able to walk and stand pain-free.

GPS online comparison shopping

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Once you get used to using a GPS (Global Positioning System) when driving, it seems really difficult to get to places you don’t know without it.

They used to be very costly, but now you can even purchase a refurbished Garmin GPS without busting your budget or worrying about it being stolen. When you have read the reviews and made your decision, use a discount coupons to buy your guiding star.

The great advantage of a GPS is that you can concentrate solely on your driving when going to a new address or making a trip along roads that you are not familiar with. You don’t have to stop and look at a map if you make a wrong turn, jeopardizing your safety, or stop for directions in an obviously dangerous neighborhood if you get lost.

Furthermore, if you make a mistake and miss your exit, most GPS devices will re-rout you. They also recalculate your estimated time of arrival if you slow down or hit the gas pedal harder.

When choosing your device, do make sure the maps are updated or that they have the possibility of updating them. I have had the experience of trying to enter an address to no avail, because the street is rather new, and then having to make a phone call to get confusing directions over the phone.

However, these systems are not infallible and you have to be really on top of the directions to make sure you take the turn exactly when you need to, and not one street ahead or after. Oftentimes, the spoken directions do not seem to give you enough reaction time. compare prices, shop, and drive safely!

Best Buy coupons and online comparison shopping

Monday, June 29th, 2009

The perfect combination of online shopping combines the possibility of fast and easy comparison shopping and then making a purchase using discount coupons.

Best Buy has brick-and-mortar store throughout the United States, where salespeople will give you tips and recommendations if you request them. This has the advantage of your being able to touch and feel the items and products you are interested in and if looks are important to you, then this is vital.

However, when it comes to actually getting the best price, it is in your best interest to go online and read the reviews posted by other buyers and then make your purchase using best buy promo codes.

Furthermore, the website oftentimes sells products that are only available online, which makes shopping over the Internet make even more sense.

Shipping and delivery are usually timely and if you have an issue with your purchase you can always return it at the closest store to you, or send it back using the same shipping method used by Best Buy. When thinking of gift giving you can also purchase gift cards that can be sent to the recipient by e-mail, and cashed online.

Another advantage is that you can have items shipped to APO and FPO boxes. In case you did not know this, when you have purchases delivered to this kind of postal address, you do not pay a sales tax, which makes it even cheaper to buy online.

Best Buy also has a rewards program that gives buyers the chance to accrue points with every purchase they make in the store and then can redeem them for cash used towards another store purchase.

Online Comparison Shopping Reviews - how to write them

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

The reason to shop at online comparison-shopping sites is to find the item that you are looking to buy at the best price. Once you have read the reviews written by previous buyers, you are usually well-equipped to make your choice.

Say you want to purchase a GPS navigator for your vehicle. You can start out by checking out the price range within your budget and matching it with the specs you need or want your GPS to have. Then, you read the user reviews and if most are not good, you may not make your purchase. This is not rocket science, of course, but when it comes to turning it around and writing a review yourself, there are a few things you should consider.

- Resist the temptation to review a product right out of the box. Give yourself time to familiarize yourself with the GPS for a couple of weeks, and then write about it.

- One-liners are usually not of much help, so take the time to write at least a paragraph about the product. “I love it because it’s pink!” is not very helpful, and I see that exact review too often online! Since the specs are most likely on the product page, your most valuable contribution will be as a user. Ask yourself the questions that are important to you.

- Is the GPS touch-screen responsive enough or way too sensitive?

- Does the screen have so much glare that you can’t see it if you don’t have tinted car windows?

- Is the highest volume level so low that you can’t hear the spoken directions or is the voice well modulated and pleasant?

- Are the maps outrageously outdated or were you surprised by their accuracy?

- Be specific and think about what you would like to know if you were going to make that purchase all over again.

- Was it easy to figure out or did you have to read the instruction manual twice?

- How was your shopping experience with the store? Did the item arrive one month later or did you get it a few days after you purchased it?

- If you had to deal with an exchange, how was that handled? Use a spell checker (you can type in a word processor and then copy and paste your text).

When you become a part of an online price comparison shopping community, your opinion counts too! Let your voice be heard.

Online Comparison Shopping - Your ticket to buyer satisfaction

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

In the physical world we do not do all our shopping in one place and we tend to ask friends and family for the best deals when searching for a particular product.

When my sister does her grocery shopping, she goes to three different supermarkets. She knows one of them has the best-priced produce for the quality, another sells her favorite brand of olive oil, cheese and meats, and the third is where she gets her toiletries. However, for those of us with small children, it is often a more convenient to just purchase all our groceries in one store, even when we know we are paying a higher price for our convenience. This is true of any kind of shopping. Going to the mall to buy your Father’s Day gift along with your 4th of July decorations and a gorgeous bathing suit for the summer will cost you a pretty penny. You may save some time, but in the end, instant gratification is expensive.

If you are on a shoestring, as most of America is today, online comparison-shopping is your ticket to savings and to buyer satisfaction. How else can you find out what hundreds, if not thousands of other buyers think about the latest electronic gadget, baby gear, or even jewelry. Not only that, but you can immediately access discount coupons that will make your purchase cheaper.

In a real-life store, the only person you can ask is the clerk, and that person is biased. In the online world in a virtual store, buyers come from all parts of the country and even the world, different genders, backgrounds and age groups. But they all share one thing in common – they are here, just like you, to compare prices and to pay it forward. Do the same for those that follow.

How to find cheap baby products

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

Perhaps the biggest concern for the parents is to find the best apparels, shoes, toys and other accessories for their kids at cheaper and discount rates. But at the same time it is very important to maintain the quality. This is a hard job. Finding everything at one place is really a rigid question. It involves lot of search and time consuming. I am sure the below mentioned suggestions will definitely help:

1. See the necessity not the trend Normally people do love their children over passionately. Most of the times they buy things that look great but in realty not very much needed. For example baby cart is no doubt a useful product but not more important than blanket that is a necessary thing. So if we cut our desires and avoid irrelevant things, it can save us from lot of extra expenditures.

2. Clearance Sales All good manufacturers offer their clearance sales from time to time. If we keep a clever eye on their outlets, we can certainly avail lot of quality items at clearance prices. Remember clearance sales contain good quality products and we should not under estimate it.

3. Comparison Shopping It is pretty good idea to get the knowledge of different prices of the same product offered by multiple merchants. Sometimes a famous brand vendor may sell their products at higher rates but same item can be found at lower prices for another merchant but the quality and specs are same. This can be a pretty useful and handy tool to economical shopping.

4. Participate to shopping festivals and exhibitions Shipping festivals and exhibitions are a great source of finding best valued products at one place and with lower prices. You need to keep yourself informed about their schedules. All good manufactures do participate there with their best prices. So it can be a huge opportunity to avail maximum benefits.
