This is my first HD Camcorder. Picture is really good and I like the HDAVC format. You can play the HDAVC directly on PS3, just plug the memory card into the PS3 USB port, it instantly recognized and you can play the video with HD quality picture. You can also use the come along software to create

The Diamond VC 500 works real well for me. So far anything I have tried to capture has had great results. Old VHS tapes have come back to life. The important next steps are using the EDITING software. Which one of those is best for you is another topic.
